If you’ve been craving a chocolate-y milkshake, this is a great alternative. Fair warning, this protein shake may become addicting!
Lately I’ve been trying to increase how much protein I eat, so I’ve been supplementing with a protein shake each day. Usually I just mix the powder with water, but sometimes I want a more filling snack, especially right after a workout.
This shake is made with oats to add texture and make the shake more filling. Combining the oats with the chocolate protein powder and a drop of vanilla extract makes this drink taste like a cookie!
Making this nutritious drink takes just a few minutes. All you have to do is throw all the ingredients in a blender and mix it up. Then enjoy your Oatmeal Cookie Protein Shake!
I felt like I was drinking a sugary milkshake when I was enjoying this shake. It’s a great way to curb your dessert cravings!
Ingredients
- 8 oz unsweetened almond milk
- 1 scoop protein powder (I used chocolate but you can use any flavor you like)
- 1/2 cup uncooked oats
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 ice cubes
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth.
- Pour into a glass and serve immediately. If you like, top with whipped cream.
