Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl

October 20, 2015 By Linda Warren Leave a Comment

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl

Fall is here and nothing reminds me of the season more than pumpkin. It doesn’t seem to matter what form it takes, I love pumpkin anything!

But put pumpkin in a smoothie bowl – and it just about tops everything else pumpkin! So now you are probably asking yourself, what’s a smoothie bowl? Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like. A smoothie that is made thick enough to place in a bowl and eat with a spoon. The best thing about smoothie bowls is you can top it with your favorite healthy toppings, anything from granola to berries, sliced fruit to nuts and seeds or even dates and extra spices. This makes a smoothie bowl so much more satisfying than a smoothie in a glass. It’s that spoon/fork to mouth relationship with food that gives you the feeling that you actually ate a meal rather than just sipped a drink. In other words, it’s perfect!

Spicy Tuna Avocado Panini Melt

Spicy Tuna Avocado Panini Melt - creamy, spicy, melty goodness | Get the recipe on MyCookingSpot.com!

If I had to eat one kind of savory food for the rest of my life, it would be freakin’ canned tuna.

I’m dead serious, here. Tuna salad sandwiches, tuna & noodles, tuna croquettes, tuna cakes, tuna burgers, tuna casserole…I’ve eaten and loved it all. If there’s ever a day that I can’t think of what to eat, I turn to my trusty canned fish friend.

It’s not for everyone, of that I’m sure. I’ve had so many people turn their nose up when I mention having it for lunch – of course, that’s the same reaction I have when someone mentions olives.

The beauty of tuna lies in it’s versatility, and the flavors packed in this Spicy Tuna Avocado Panini Melt make this canned star sing! [Read more…]

Cool down this August with slightly sweet and dreamy Peaches and Cream Popsicles! Sprinkle sliced peaches with sugar, letting them steep in the beautiful liquid. Strain the peaches and save the juices… then combine the juice with Greek yogurt and a few peaches to create these decadent popsicles!

Cool down this August with slightly sweet and dreamy Peaches and Cream Popsicles! Sprinkle sliced peaches with sugar, letting them steep in the beautiful liquid. Strain the peaches and save the juices... then combine the juice with Greek yogurt and a few peaches to create these decadent popsicles!

Peach season is about to come to an end, and this makes me incredibly sad because peaches might be my all-time favorite fruit.

When I was a kid, I have distinct memories of slicing up peaches to put atop my cereal in the mornings. If you haven’t tried this, I totally recommend it! I also have memories of peach cobblers and crumbles and pies and all kinds of desserts.

Ever since I found peaches at my grocery this summer, I’ve been enjoying them by the dozen. Which has actually become kind of ridiculous because, well, no normal person should go through several pounds of peaches in a month. Right?

Whatever the case, I had a few peaches left in my last batch and decided to make popsicles using them. [Read more…]

Peanut Butter Yogurt Dip - a delicious and quick anytime snack!

Hey y’all! Stephanie here again. I love a good late night snack recipe. Lately, I’ve been munching on apples and sharp cheddar cheese or a Strawberry Goat Cheese Toast when I’ve stayed up far too late editing photos or writing my next blog post.  I was sorting some old emails the other day when I came across this Peanut Butter Yogurt Dip recipe I’d sent to myself a few years ago. I knew I just had to make it as my next late night snack and share it with y’all! [Read more…]
