In just 10 days, mothers (grandma’s, aunts, uncles, dads, whoever!) everywhere will be busy making cookies for a man that doesn’t look like he needs any more cookies. But the children in our lives simply can’t take the risk of what might happen if no cookies are left for Dear Ol’ Saint Nick.

We have a recipe tradition at my mom’s house. Every year for at least the last 15 years, she makes this dish at Christmas time. It was made as a random side dish and it was loved so much, that my mom has made it every year since. I even have friends request the dish by name and she will even make it for them when they come to visit during the year.
Flour-less Chocolate Cake
I think one of my favorite guilty pleasures or indulgences is chocolate. I love eating it in every shape, form, or fashion. So naturally this decadent chocolate dessert is one of my go to’s for a show up and show off dessert for company. It is simple, requires a few pantry ingredients and will leave your guests feeling as if they are dining at a fancy restaurant.
The consistency of this cake reminds me of cheesecake and because the chocolate is bittersweet (or even could be semi sweet) it is not an overwhelmingly sweet dessert. However, it is overwhelming decadent, and will leave you needing to eat the first bite in a moment of silence, trust me.
Reindeer Puppy Chow
Ever since it was acceptable to think about Christmas, I’ve been dreaming of powdery, sugary, chocolately puppy chow goodness. Truth, I’ve never had it before! But this Christmas I was ready to make it and finally move beyond never having it. And I’m so glad that I did!
