Fish Taco Bowls

This colorful, healthy dinner is easy to put together, even on a busy night. Fish Taco Bowls are a lot of fun to make and customize!

Hi everyone! It’s Jenna from A Savory Feast. Today I’m sharing my Fish Taco Bowls recipe. It’s a lighter alternative to the classic fish tacos, but still 100% delicious!

This recipe came about when I had a craving for fish tacos the other day. My fiancé and I don’t eat a lot of flour, so we generally avoid tortillas. I decided to try putting my favorite fish taco ingredients in a bowl with rice to get that fish taco flavor without the flour tortillas.

Busy Girl’s Cheesy Penne alla “Not-ka”

September 7, 2015 By Erin Kennedy Leave a Comment

penne

I love pasta, and I love when I can have a homemade meal that can be on the table in about 15 minutes. I love to cook, but now that I am pregnant, I hate standing in the kitchen for hours making a tasty meal. So this recipe is one of my favorites (pregnant or not) and takes no time at all.

For those people that need a quick meal on the table, that you and your family will devour, this is the recipe for you. I love Penne alla Vodka. It is one of my fave’s to order at an Italian restaurant. Since I have been pregnant, I have really been craving this dish, but many nights, I am too tired to go out, and I don’t want to use vodka. I know that the alcohol burns off, but I can’t stand the smell of hard liquor since I have been pregnant. So I set out to put together a recipe that will cure my craving, and simple to put together. This recipe, I promise you, will not disappoint.

The main part of this simple recipe is finding a good jar of marinara sauce. I have used other brands before, but this is the first time I used Mezzetta Napa Valley marinara sauce. This sauce is the most fresh tasting I have ever had. The ingredients are pure without any added preservatives or high fructose corn syrup.

Spicy Tuna Avocado Panini Melt

Spicy Tuna Avocado Panini Melt - creamy, spicy, melty goodness | Get the recipe on MyCookingSpot.com!

If I had to eat one kind of savory food for the rest of my life, it would be freakin’ canned tuna.

I’m dead serious, here. Tuna salad sandwiches, tuna & noodles, tuna croquettes, tuna cakes, tuna burgers, tuna casserole…I’ve eaten and loved it all. If there’s ever a day that I can’t think of what to eat, I turn to my trusty canned fish friend.

It’s not for everyone, of that I’m sure. I’ve had so many people turn their nose up when I mention having it for lunch – of course, that’s the same reaction I have when someone mentions olives.

The beauty of tuna lies in it’s versatility, and the flavors packed in this Spicy Tuna Avocado Panini Melt make this canned star sing! [Read more…]
