White Chocolate Valentine’s Bark

January 31, 2014 By Becky Hardin Leave a Comment

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays.  Celebrating love is great and everything…but really its the delicious desserts that make the blogger in me excited!

White Chocolate Valentine's Bark, made with Cherry M&Ms and Raspberry Oreos. YUM!Holiday desserts are best when they are easy and delicious, so this recipe is perfect.  It takes very little prep time, and makes enough to share.

White Chocolate Valentine's Bark, made with Cherry M&Ms and Raspberry Oreos. YUM!For this crave-worthy treat, all you do is melt your chocolate and pour it over your favorite add-ins.  There are so many great Valentine’s candies that would work well.  This would also be great for baby or wedding showers.  It can be made in almost any color combination or theme.  So fun!

White Chocolate Valentine's Bark, made with Cherry M&Ms and Raspberry Oreos. YUM!This will be our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple! While we were dating, we would go to a great steak restaurant every year (my very favorite type of meal) and he would wine and dine me.  Now that we are married, life has slowed down a bit :).  We plan on grilling steaks in the backyard and just enjoying being home.  I think this would be the perfect sweet treat to have with my sweetie. (Valentine’s Day brings out the mushy in me, I apologize)

YUM!I made this bark with Valentine’s Cherry M&Ms, pretzels, and Raspberry Creme Oreos.  Those oreos….DELISH.  I mean, wow.  All of the flavors blend together really well.  Chocolate covered cherries meets raspberry cream meets salty sweet.  The perfect treat.

White Chocolate Valentine’s Bark

Ingredients

  • 8-16 ounces good quality baking white chocolate (I always use Ghiradelli baking chips) 8 ounces will make about half a cookie sheet, 16 ounces will cover an entire baking sheet
  • 10 Raspberry Cream Oreos, crushed into small pieces
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks, crushed into medium pieces
  • 1 cup Valentine's Cherry M&Ms
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
  2. Sprinkle the baking sheet with the oreos, pretzels, and about 3/4 of the M&Ms
  3. Melt the chocolate either on the stove or in a microwave (about 1 1/2 minutes, then stir...microwave another 15 seconds if necessary. white chocolate burns easily so watch it carefully)
  4. Pour the chocolate over the items on the baking sheet
  5. Using a spatula, lightly spread out the chocolate so that the baking sheet is covered
  6. While the chocolate is still warm/melted, sprinkle on the remaining M&Ms and the sprinkles if desired
  7. Place in the fridge to harden completely (at least an hour)
  8. Break into small pieces and enjoy! Store in an airtight container. This will keep for about a week.

Becky Hardin

Becky woke up on her 30th birthday and came to a startling revelation…she couldn’t cook…anything. She didn’t know the difference between broil and bake, how to bake chocolate chip cookies, or make the simplest of pastas. All of a sudden, she wanted to learn. She began The Cookie Rookie and started her journey to learn how to cook, one recipe at a time. With the help of her mom Susie, she has learned so much and found a real passion for being in the kitchen. Mistakes happen, but that’s all part of the process. The Cookie Rookie also has two guest stars, Dill and Scout, her curious kitten and giant dog. Come join in on the fun!
