Growing up, we weren’t really a family of casserole eaters. Not until I got to college did I really start eating casseroles (namely, poppy-seed chicken casserole and cheesy chicken broccoli & rice casserole).

Pancakes are quite possibly the greatest way to start your day.

I’ve been crushing on protein pancakes for the past 5 years and have made them in tons of flavors ~ blueberry, pumpkin, funfetti, cinnamon roll, berries & cream, bananas foster, bacon, and carrot cake. I pretty much eat them every morning.

Homemade chicken broth is one of my favorite foods. Once you start making your own, it’s so hard to go back to the store bought version. I do pick up some at the store if I’m in a pinch and don’t have any on hand, or the ingredients to make it (namely, if I don’t have enough bones stored up in my freezer). A good organic version works well, but the flavor of homemade broth is so concentrated, it’s hard to compare. [Read more…]
