Taco Tuesday is tomorrow, and I wanted to get a head start with this delicious fish taco recipe. I wanted to share today so you could make these for tomorrow.

Actually, this recipe is perfect for today’s meatless monday too. Do these fish tacos look good to you? Because these crispy little fish tacos are actually not fish, this is a new product from Gardein Golden Fishless Filets. They are vegan, vegetarian and not real fish, but tastes just like fish!

I am very impressed with these fish tacos if I don’t say so myself. They were so easy and fast to put together. I just threw my filets in the oven for a few minutes and constructed our tacos for a delish dinner.

I am all about making a healthy meal for myself and my family. Gardein has so many different products to try. We also made the chicken sliders for a quick lunch this weekend and they were just like chicken! Gardein has 20 different products you can choose from, here are just a few others:

  • Gardein Classic Meatless Meatballs
  • Gardein The Ultimate Beefless Ground
  • Gardein Teriyaki Chick’n Strips

Gardein makes delicious, convenient and healthier versions of the foods we all love to eat. It is healthier option to eat and better for the planet to use this plant protein. It is also made with non-GMO soy, wheat, grains and vegetables.

The texture is just like its meat counterparts, but has less calories, fat and zero cholesterol.

It’s so funny. I was never a fish fillet lover when I still ate meat. But now I love these fishless fillets. And these tacos sound delicious.

I LOVE the idea of putting the filets into tacos! I had just eaten them plain but this sounds like a great way to make them stretch.

Vegetarian, yes but sour cream is not vegan…
The veggie fish patties sound interesting, I’ll be looking for them next time I shop!

Thanks for pointing that out to her. People can often use vegan out of context. Changing the recipe ingredients to “vegan sour cream” would easily fix this.

If you have chosen to follow a vegan diet, why are you selecting products that continue to reflect your taste for meat? I would think that a vegan life style implies the choice to avoid animal products. Pseudo-meats are highly processed and there are so many other vegan options to explore.

People choose a vegan diet for many reasons. Sometimes people who love meat become vegan for animal rights reasons or for the environment. Maybe avoiding processed products is your path, but many of us enjoy something that tastes like the real thing sometimes. And I am wondering why someone on such a high Vegan High Horse is browsing and reading recipes for fish tacos. Have yourself some more beans and rice. People like you are the reason I choose NOT to call myself a vegan. I prefer to tell people that I follow a plant based diet 99% of the time, for animal rights.

Geez Patti calm down. It’s a logical question people ask both my mom and me.

No, it was snarky. You are perpetuating this. If I hear one more vegan lecture on what is and is not healthy or try to chastise another vegan for wanting a meat substitute? I may vomit. Your opinion isn’t original. Patti is correct: Vegans like you and the other “call out” are detrimental to the vegan movement. It’s about the animals, not your high horse. In addition, telling her to “calm down” is a form of gaslighting. Why don’t YOU calm down and be kind. Don’t chastise other vegans.

This looks amazing but i do want to let you know that this isn’t a vegan meal due to the use of sour cream. Meatless yes but not vegan. I will try this recipe but substituting the sour cream for something vegan. Thanks!
