I love BBQs! I honestly do. In spite of my vehement hatred of almost everything summer, BBQs are the one thing I actually look forward to in warm weather.

I adore the idea of gathering around a big picnic table with friends and family, an array of grilled food before me, beckoning me to indulge in at least one of everything.

Happy summer, folks!!

Don’t argue, because it is soooooo summer right now.

I don’t even care if it’s actually still two weeks away, Florida got the memo early, as usual.

We even had an out-of-season tropical system brewing a few weeks ago! I mean, really.

Go home, Mother Nature, you’re drunk.

When I think of summer, I think of sun-hats, cold beer, lazy afternoons by the pool, and all-day picnics by the grill with lots of snacks to keep your tummy full until dinner is ready. A delicious make-ahead salad that’ll make you excited about eating summer veggies

Happy Summer!

Ok so I know it’s not officially summer, but summer starts Memorial Day in my opinion and that makes me oh so very happy.

Among many things {think outdoor activities involving water}, all the fresh fruits and veggies are my favorite things about summer.

I have a tendency to follow trends in my veggie-loving ways. In the winter, I make soups on soups on soups. You’ll never hear “no soup for you” in my kitchen.
