(Sing with me!)

‘Tis the sea-son for boo-zy milk-shakes

FALALALALAAAAAAA …

When the temperatures reach anywhere above 85° fahrenheit, and it pains me to be outside, life calls for an iced coffee, or smoothie, or in this case, a Boozy Caramel Peanut Butter Cup Milkshake!

Don’t get me wrong I love being outdoors. But not in the months of June, July, August, and pretty much most of September. Come on, this is Florida I’m living in. I may have lived here my whole life, but you never get used to the humidity, I promise. It’s forever hot and sticky.

Sort of like the contents of this sinful dessert. Caramel sauce, double chocolate ice cream, chocolate syrup. Only this is kind of the best sticky combination.

And then you add liquor to it and BAM. Your childhood takes a trip to grownup land.

It’s cold and refreshing, and of course, it’s just as good without the liquor (in case the kiddos want some.)

But you are a grownup now, so why would you leave it out? It adds a certain kind of nobility to the shake. Classes up an otherwise trashed up drink.

Ain’t nothin’ wrong with being a little classy in this summer heat, am I right?

Especially when you’re sweating like a sinner in church. At outdoor service. In July. During a drought…
