Hey y’all! Stephanie from Sustaining the Powers here again. For as long as I can remember baking with my mother, our family has had this amazingly easy recipe for Microwave Toffee. It involves dumping 4 ingredients in a bowl and popping it in the microwave for about 9 minutes then pouring it out on a baking sheet, adding some chocolate and putting in the fridge to set. Everything’s better in Paris.

At least, that’s what they say. While I cannot personally attest to this global attitude (yet!), I have to admit that the French just know how to do things right. Croissants, cheese, wine, escargot (surprisingly delicious!), and chocolate.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I feel like I can officially begin my Christmas baking! Cookies are so popular around the holidays, but I’m actually not very good at making cookies. At least the way everyone wants them: firm around the edges and soft in the middle. So I tend to make more cookie bars and skillet cookies, which are just as good, if not better, in my book.

Chocolate pudding has always been one of my go-to comfort foods. It’s rich and creamy and a perfect ending to lovely dinner.

It’s also great as a mid-day snack for my little one. But these days, we are all gluten-free & cow dairy-free so pudding has been removed from our home….UNTIL NOW!
