Being a California girl, I’ve always had a perception about how summers are spent on the east coast. Mind you, much of my perception is heavily influenced by the movie Beaches, so it obviously includes Boardwalks, surrey bike rides, and nostalgic photo booth sessions with your very best friend.

One of my favorite beverages to drink in the summer is iced tea. I always order it when I go out to a restaurant but I rarely make it at home. I feel like it takes too much time and it never tastes the same. I was super excited to find out that I can use my Keurig brewer machine to make my favorite cold beverages too, including my love for iced tea.
My husband and I received our Keurig brewer for Christmas, and we could not believe how much it changed our lives. Our favorite coffee right at our fingertips in just a few minutes. We are truly addicted to it, we don’t know how we lived without it.
Ever since I studied abroad in Italy, I have loved Italian food even more! I’m not great at steering away from store bought jars of pasta sauce, but I do enjoy learning how to make dishes that are not just the typical pasta that you think of when you think of Italian food.
Summer. It’s finally here! One of my personal favorite ways to while away the summer days is spending time outside any way that I can. In New York City it was always a challenge, no car to escape the city, no mountain to climb to feel the solitude, no hammock to relax in while the hours slipped by. So I would walk by the water, wander in Central Park, take in the farmers market or go to one of the many street festivals. It was at such a festival that I had my first taste of Street Corn. I was instantly hooked!
