This smoothie is high in protein thanks to chia seeds and almond milk. And all the blueberries give it an absolutely gorgeous color!
Have you ever tried adding chia seeds to smoothies? Here’s my secret to making sure that the chia seeds get broken down a little and don’t overpower the smoothie: add your liquid and the chia seeds and blend before you add any other ingredients.
Another great thing about smoothies is that they are a sweet snack that doesn’t have to be packed with sugar. This version doesn’t contain any sugar OR sugar substitutes. And it’s still so sweet and yummy!
- 10 oz almond milk
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- Place the almond milk and chia seeds in a blender and blend for about 30 seconds.
- Add in the blueberries and blend until smooth.
