Honeycrisp Winter Salad with Citrus Poppyseed Dressing

February 3, 2017 By Laurensrecipes Leave a Comment

A simple yet delicious spinach salad with honey crisp apples, mandarin oranges, chopped pecans, dried cranberries, all topped with a homemade citrus poppyseed dressing.

Hi all! It’s Lauren back from Lauren’s Recipe Box ready to share with you one of my favorite salads of all time! I don’t know about you, but Winter is one of the hardest times for me to stick to a healthy diet. Maybe it is the cold weather, holidays, or maybe it is just an excuse to be bad 🙂 Either way, I am trying to make some healthier choices this month and this honey crisp winter salad is the perfect start! A bed of baby spinach loaded with thinly sliced honey crisp apples, mandarin oranges, chopped pecans, dried cranberries, and the BEST citrus poppyseed dressing… This salad will make you forget all about those Chick-fil-a waffle fries 😉

Carrot Raisin Bran Muffins

January 4, 2017 By Erin Kennedy 1 Comment

2017! Bring on the new year with health and happiness. I had a baby last year. So 2017 is is the year for me to get the baby weight off. I want to also get my health in check and that means making a lot better choices when eating and trying to get more veggies and fiber in my diet.

When 4pm hits, my cravings can sing a different tune than the celery sticks and rice cakes I should be reaching for. That is when I hit a slump for the day. I have been up since 6am chasing a little munchkin and working every chance I can squeeze in. Pork Tenderloin with Mango Salsa - I Say Nomato Nightshade Free Food Blog

Hello, I’m Cristina from I Say Nomato! Today I’m sharing a recipe that features not only tomato and pepper-free salsa (my specialty), but is so easy to throw together!

Mr. Nomato and I lived in the Caribbean for two years, on a tiny, tiny island. There are two things you need to know about this island. One, is that it only has one road. One crazy, terrifying road that I never shifted above 3rdgear on ever because if I did, I would probably die. The other thing you need to know is that this island is covered in goats.

Hi y’all! Becca here from Two Places at Once.  I know brussels sprouts may not seem like an exciting recipe, but they are! Stick around and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I don’t know about y’all, but my schedule lately has been pretty hectic. I feel like it was just June and I blinked and it’s November all of the sudden! While I love the fall, I feel like this year has flown by without being able to savor it. Finally, this weekend, I got to take a breather. My husband and I spent much needed time with friends on Friday night. On Saturday, we watched so much college football, did tons of yard work and enjoyed a date night at the movies. Then Sunday was reserved for our meal prep! It was fabulous to get to relax and go in to the week more prepared than usual.
