Keeping a Healthy 2018 While Still Enjoying It

Pure I, like many others started 2018 with a New Year’s resolution to have the healthiest year yet. I made all the promises; eat healthy, work out, lose weight, get enough sleep, drink enough water, cut out carbs, cut out sugar, keep my calories under a specific number and the list goes on and on.

Boy, that is a lot of restrictions for trying to have a healthy year. So where is all the fun? It is the beginning of April and that means that if you have stuck to your New Year’s resolution, then you are three months in and three months are down.

It is easy to let the fun fall to the wayside because you are so focused on your goal. But only 8% of people keep their resolutions and number one is losing weight or getting healthy. [Read more…]

Why Tucson Needs To Be On Your Food Bucket List

I’ve lived in Phoenix for 11 years as of October 1st. The first time I made it to Tucson was only three years ago. It took me 8 years to discover the majesty of Tucson, Arizona. It is so close to Phoenix, but seems like we’re in another state. Once I had discovered it, my husband and I try to get down there whenever it is possible. Why? Let me go over the list of why Tucson is so great:

  1. The food, oh the glorious food.
  2. The outdoor activites
  3. The people
  4. Back to the food because it is really fantastic.

Are y’all over pumpkin yet? Me neither:) While it’s fall, I’m taking advantage of all the pumpkin-flavored things I can handle. I’ve enjoyed everything from pumpkin muffins to pumpkin pasta.
