There seems to be a theme around here when it comes to my posts.

A vast majority of the treats I share with you all feature the same five superstar ingredients: bananas, strawberries, peanut butter, chocolate, and hazelnut spread.

Am I ashamed of it? Never. You like what you like, right?

Maybe one of these days, I’ll break away and share something with crazy ingredients. Like beets. Or oysters. Or blue cheese.

(That last one is not likely, for the record.)

Heaven help me, but I have a borderline crazy adoration for croissants. Those light, fluffy, uber-buttery pillows of perfection are great spread with jam for breakfast, or topped with meat and cheese for a delightful lunch.

I have absolutely zero problem just eating them. Plain. Hot out of the oven. Ripping apart their flaky layers and stuffing them in my mouth with wild abandon.

Yeah, I’m a carbaholic through and through. But, sometimes, I like to get fancy with my French delicacies, and when that happens, you can expect things like these Strawberry Hazelnut Cream Croissants to come flying out of my kitchen. Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies Made with a Hazelnut Spread from Nocciolata

Ever since I visited Italy almost six years ago now, I have been in love (and obsessed) with hazelnut spreads. My husband loves cookies and could probably eat chocolate chip ones every day for the rest of his life. But I get a little bored with those and I decided I wanted to try to use a delicious hazelnut spread from Nocciolata for a cookie recipe.
