Coffee is my love language. I spend time with it every morning, and most afternoons…even some evenings. It is a very sweet relationship that I have with coffee. I am just playing, but really and truly I do love some coffee. So I am always trying new ways of enjoying my favorite drink! French Press is my method of choice when it comes to brewing a strong cup of coffee. The pressing creates a smooth but bold flavor, and it eliminates the bitter and acidic aftertaste. I don’t know about you but sometimes I just want to have a cold drink in the afternoon, and iced coffee always hits the spot.
Peach and Macadamia Nut Muffins with Streusel Topping
I love peach season! Our grocery stores have had peaches on sale for a couple weeks now so I have been itching to make something with them. Peaches are one of those fruits that can only be enjoyed for a select period of time during the year. I prefer my peaches firm, which I guess most would consider as unripe. For this recipe, you will want to use a softer peach.
This muffin recipe is adapted from my master muffin mix, which uses buttermilk and sour cream to keep the muffins moist for several days after baking. There is a little extra baking powder in this recipe to help the muffins rise nice and tall.
Lemon Garlic Parmesan Asparagus
Apparently I’m in a lemon mood lately. Last time I shared a recipe with y’all, I posted this lemon dijon brussels sprouts salad. Something about lemon just feels so fresh and springy. And now that it’s April, I want everything to taste like spring! Luckily, asparagus are in season in the spring. They’re one of my favorite side dishes.
