Kielbasa Breakfast Hash - A filling breakfast, thrown together in 30 minutes! | Get the recipe on MyCookingSpot.com!

It’s a great day for a holiday, don’t you think?

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow Americans! Today is one of my favorite holidays as a foodie, for obvious reasons – it’s all about eating!! I love taking a classic recipe and getting creative with it – putting my own spin on it, and really making it my own. I can’t wait to be able to share those kinds of recipes with my future kids and grandkids, and maybe one day in the future, they’ll call my recipes classics.

Of course, Thanksgiving is an all-day event, spent mostly in the kitchen and over the stove. But before you toss that turkey in your oven, why not treat your family to an equally impressive breakfast? This Kielbasa Breakfast Hash is easy, filling, and delicious, and will take no more than 30 minutes to make, giving you that much more time to prep for your big dinner! [Read more…]

Who wants to talk about veggies?

Me me!!

I always want to talk about veggies. Always. In fact, I am doing a weekly series on eating Veggies All Year.

I’ve been learning so much about so many different types of veggies; however, there’s one little thing that I’ve noticed about doing this… I have a surplus of veggies in my apartment.

I buy big bags of each veggie because who wants to look at pictures of one onion? Um, no one. That’d be so weird!

Either way, I have a lot of veggies in my apartment, but I obviously do not deem this a problem. Not even a little bit of a problem. Except when I feel like they’re going bad. I will not waste veggies! That’d be such a crime!

Biscuits & Sausage Gravy

March 11, 2014 By Madison Wetherill 2 Comments

Hey y’all, its Madison from Wetherills Say I Do!  You can check out some of my older posts on My Cooking Spot here and here. I’d love for you to stop by my blog and check it out. I talk about things like marriage & weddings, recipes and DIY projects I love, and lessons learned in general.
What is your favorite meal of the day? Hands down mine is breakfast. I sometimes have a difficult time with breakfast though, because I don’t really eat eggs. When I was younger they made me sick to my stomach, so I’ve never really developed a taste for them. So when I stumble upon an amazing recipe for breakfast, I cherish it!
This recipe originally comes from Steven’s dad. I posted a recipe for a Strawberry Jam Loaf from Steven’s aunt earlier, what can I say, I love family recipes! Steven’s dad made this recipe for us a few years ago. Before he made this recipe for us I had never really tried biscuits and gravy before. But man, I’m hooked now. One of the biggest benefits to this recipe is that it makes quite a bit, but sausage gravy freezes incredibly well, so you’re able to have it for a long time.
